From Hillsboro it is one road the whole way, and you are already on it before you leave downtown. Head west on SW Tualatin Valley Highway. Through Cornelius, OR-8 splits into a one-way couplet — Baseline Street eastbound, Adair Street westbound — so westbound traffic runs on Adair, and Adair becomes Pacific Avenue in Forest Grove. Turn left onto Mountain View Lane. We are about 600 feet south, on the corner of 19th Avenue, in Suite 300, with a free lot at the door. You will not reach downtown Forest Grove at all.

  • One road the whole way: SW Tualatin Valley Highway becomes Adair Street through Cornelius, and Adair becomes Pacific Avenue in Forest Grove. You never change highways.
  • TriMet Line 57 runs from the Hillsboro Transit Center to the stop named Pacific Avenue and Mountain View Lane — the top of our street — every 15 minutes or better, seven days a week.
  • Hatfield Government Center is the western terminus of the MAX Blue Line. That is where the train stops and the 57 keeps going west.
  • Coming from the Jackson Bottom Wetlands Preserve side of town — 635 acres and roughly 4.5 miles of trails — pick up TV Highway and head west.
  • From the Gordon Faber Recreation Complex, where the Hillsboro Hops ballpark opened for the 2026 season, it is the same single westbound highway.

The city

Why anyone in Hillsboro drives west for this — it is not the distance

Hillsboro is Oregon's fifth largest city: 112,035 people by Portland State University's certified estimate for December 2025, up from 106,447 at the 2020 census. A city that size does not lack for places to book an hour on a table, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. What it does have is a working population on a tech-corridor schedule, and a schedule is the thing that decides where an appointment actually happens.

We are 4.7 road miles west of Hillsboro, twelve to eighteen minutes along OR-8. That is far enough to be a decision and close enough to be an easy one. The reason to make it is not the mileage. It is that we are open until 8 PM, every single day of the week, with no closed day and no shortened Sunday, and that a massage near Hillsboro at seven in the evening is simply a slot on the schedule rather than something that has to be negotiated.

Everything else on this page follows from that. The drive is one road. The price is one number. The door is open eleven hours a day. If you are searching for a massage near Hillsboro at half past six on a Thursday because the week has finally let go of you, the only question that matters is who is still answering the phone, and the answer to that one is on our contact page along with the map.

Getting here

One road west, and two things worth knowing

The good news first: you do not change highways. SW Tualatin Valley Highway out of Hillsboro is the same OR-8 that becomes Adair Street through Cornelius and Pacific Avenue in Forest Grove. One road, three names, no interchange to miss, no turn until the last one. When you see Mountain View Lane, turn left. We are about 600 feet down it, on the corner of 19th Avenue, and the lot is on site and free.

The first thing worth knowing is the Cornelius couplet. Through that city OR-8 is one-way in each direction on separate streets: Baseline Street carries eastbound traffic, Adair Street carries westbound. Heading out to us you are westbound, so you are on Adair. Coming home to Hillsboro afterwards you are eastbound, so you are on Baseline. The two directions genuinely use different streets, and the landmarks you passed on the way out will not be there on the way back.

The second is a caution that mostly does not apply to you, which is exactly why it trips people up. Downtown Forest Grove has a couplet of its own — OR-8 runs eastbound on 19th Avenue and westbound on Pacific Avenue — but only downtown. Out at Mountain View Lane, Pacific Avenue is an ordinary two-way road with four lanes. We sit east of downtown, so a driver coming from Hillsboro turns off before any of that starts and never has to think about it.

Why we give a range instead of a number

Twelve to eighteen minutes is the honest span, and we would rather publish the span than a single confident number that is wrong two-thirds of the time. OR-8 is signalized the whole way between Hillsboro and our block. Catch the lights and it is twelve minutes. Miss them through Cornelius and it is eighteen. Nothing about the route is unpredictable in a dramatic way; it is simply a surface highway with traffic signals on it rather than a freeway.

The practical version: leave eighteen minutes and you will never be late, and if you arrive early the reception area is a fine place to sit. On the rare day the corridor is genuinely backed up, call and say so. An appointment that starts a few minutes late still ends at the length you booked, and nobody at the desk will make it into an event.

Getting here without a car

TriMet Line 57 runs from the Hillsboro Transit Center out along TV Highway to a stop named Pacific Avenue and Mountain View Lane, which is the top of our street. It is frequent service — every 15 minutes or better — and it runs seven days a week, which matters given that we are open seven days a week. From the stop it is a walk of about 600 feet south to the door.

The MAX Blue Line ends at Hatfield Government Center, so rail gets you across Hillsboro but not out to us; the 57 is what continues west. Check the current timetable rather than trusting a website, and if you are arriving by bus, mention it when you book so the timing is not tight at either end of the appointment.

The whole point

Open until 8 PM, which is the entire reason for this page

Work out your own arithmetic and the problem states itself. A six o'clock finish plus whatever your commute costs you leaves the usable part of the evening starting somewhere around half past six. We are open until 8 PM, seven days a week, which means a 60-minute session beginning at 6:45 is a normal booking here rather than a special arrangement. If you have ever gone looking for a massage near Hillsboro after work and found that the only question left was who was still open, this is the answer to it.

Walk-ins are genuinely accepted, every day. But 4.7 miles is far enough that we would rather you did not gamble on it: call from the car and we will tell you what is free before you set off. What a phone call really buys is certainty about length. A 90-minute or two-hour session needs a therapist held for that long, and that is the request most likely to come up short if you simply arrive at seven in the evening and hope.

Sunday is the other half of the argument. There is no closed day in our week and no shortened Sunday — the hours on a Sunday are the hours on a Wednesday. If your week produces exactly one free afternoon and it happens to land on the weekend, that afternoon is bookable. Online booking is open at every hour of the day, including the ones we are not, and there is no membership standing between you and a table.

  • 9 AM to 8 PM, Monday through Sunday. The Sunday hours are the same as the Wednesday hours.
  • A 60-minute session starting at 7 PM finishes inside our hours. So does a 90-minute session starting at 6:30.
  • Walk-ins are taken every day. From 4.7 miles out, a call from the car turns a maybe into a held table.
  • No membership, no monthly credit, and no evening or weekend surcharge.
  • Online booking never closes. The phone is answered while we are open.

Saturdays

The other pattern in the appointment book

The weekday-evening booking is the one this page is built around, but it is not the only Hillsboro pattern we see. The downtown Saturday farmers' market has been running since 1982. The Rice Northwest Museum of Rocks and Minerals is an easy couple of hours. Jackson Bottom Wetlands Preserve covers 635 acres with roughly 4.5 miles of trails through it. Every one of those days ends with somebody who has been on their feet since breakfast.

That is what a Foot Massage is for, and it is the most underbooked thing on our menu. Half an hour of pressure work through the soles, arches, heels and calves is $40, and you stay dressed from the waist up, sitting back in a chair or lying on the table, whichever you prefer. People who have walked four miles of gravel trail in the morning tend to read that line on the menu rather differently in the afternoon.

If the plan is a whole afternoon out here rather than a stop on the way to one, the Combo Massage splits the session between body work and foot work at $75 for the hour, which lands between the two single-service hours in price for exactly that reason. And there is plenty to build an afternoon around: McMenamins Grand Lodge is about half a mile west on the same street, and downtown Forest Grove and Pacific University are each roughly 1.6 miles further west again.

The menu

Four services, one published price each

The list is short on purpose. Body Massage is the full-body session, offered in five lengths from 45 minutes to two hours. Local Massage puts an entire session into one region — the neck and shoulders, the low back, one hip, one leg — and is the most concentrated work we do. Combo Massage is half body work and half foot work. Foot Massage is the reflexology hour. That is the whole menu, and there is no premium tier hiding behind it.

The price does not move. It is the same by card as by cash, the same at 7 PM on a Saturday as at 10 AM on a Tuesday, and the same whichever therapist happens to be free. There is no membership to join, no monthly credit that expires if you skip a month, and no hour that turns out to be fifty minutes. A 60-minute Body Massage is $80 and a 90-minute is $120; the full menu lists every length beside every figure.

Style is settled inside the session rather than at the booking screen. Swedish, deep tissue, acupressure, hot stone, cupping and prenatal are all worked within those sessions instead of being priced as separate items, so choosing is a two-minute conversation at the start of the hour. Four hands — two therapists working at once — is the one exception worth a phone call, since it needs two people free at the same moment. If you are torn between firm and relaxing, deep tissue versus Swedish settles it faster than we can.

Evidence

What an hour on the table actually does

We would rather be believed than impressive, so here is the careful version. Massage has good support as a way to ease muscle tension and to take the edge off short-term stress, and considerably weaker support for most of the bigger claims made on its behalf. NCCIH's overview of massage therapy is the plainest public summary of that line, published by the National Institutes of Health, with nothing to sell anybody. If our page and that page ever disagree, believe theirs.

For the longer read, the same agency keeps a research digest — massage therapy for health: what the science says — which goes condition by condition and is blunt about where the trials are small or the evidence is mixed. It is a more useful ten minutes than any amount of spa copy, including this. Massage is not medical care, and pain that is new, severe, or getting worse belongs with a doctor before it belongs on a table.

From the room rather than the literature: most people sleep better the night of a session, most people feel the difference for days rather than weeks, and very few people book often enough to find out what a regular rhythm would do for them. How often you should get a massage gives the honest answer to that, and massage for tension headaches covers the complaint that walks through the door most often after a long week at a desk.

Hillsboro FAQ

Good questions, straight answers

How far is West Valley Massage from Hillsboro?
A massage near Hillsboro means about 4.7 road miles west, a drive of 12 to 18 minutes. The route is OR-8 the whole way: SW Tualatin Valley Highway out of Hillsboro becomes Adair Street through Cornelius and Pacific Avenue in Forest Grove, and the studio is at 1911 Mountain View Ln #300, on the corner of 19th Avenue and Mountain View Lane.
Why give a range rather than a single drive time?
Because OR-8 is signalized the whole way between Hillsboro and our block, so the honest answer is a span rather than a number. Catch the lights and it is twelve minutes. Miss them through Cornelius and it is eighteen. There is no freeway section on the route to average that out, so we publish both ends of the range instead of the flattering one.
How late can I book on a weeknight?
We are open until 8 PM every day, so a 60-minute session can start at 7 PM and a 90-minute session can start at 6:30 PM and still finish inside opening hours. That is what makes an after-work appointment realistic rather than theoretical once a commute has been accounted for. There is no evening surcharge.
Are you open on Sunday, and do weekends cost more?
Yes, and Sunday is a full day rather than a short one. The hours are 9 AM to 8 PM every day of the week, with no closed day. Weekend hours are identical to weekday hours and the prices are identical too — there is no weekend rate.
Which street do I take through Cornelius?
Westbound, you want Adair Street. OR-8 through Cornelius is a one-way couplet: Baseline Street carries eastbound traffic and Adair carries westbound. Driving out to us you are westbound, so you are on Adair, which becomes Pacific Avenue in Forest Grove. Driving home to Hillsboro afterwards you are eastbound, so you are on Baseline instead.
Can I reach you on TriMet from Hillsboro?
Yes. TriMet Line 57 runs from the Hillsboro Transit Center along TV Highway to a stop named Pacific Avenue and Mountain View Lane, which is the top of our street, then it is about a 600-foot walk south to the door. Service is every 15 minutes or better, seven days a week. The MAX Blue Line ends at Hatfield Government Center, so the bus is what continues west.
Do you take walk-ins if I drive out from Hillsboro?
Yes, walk-ins are taken every day. At this distance a phone call first is still worth making, because a walk-in gets whichever therapist and room happen to be free at that moment. A 90-minute or two-hour session in particular needs a therapist held for the whole block, so call from the car and we will tell you what is available before you set off.
How much does an hour cost, and is there a membership?
A 60-minute Body Massage is $80, a 60-minute Combo Massage is $75, and a 60-minute Foot Massage is $70. There is no membership, no monthly credit, no member and non-member split, and no therapist tier that costs extra. Card and cash are the same price, and gratuity is not included and is never expected.

The massage research worth reading, from institutions that do not sell massage:

We cite independent, non-commercial health sources so you can read the evidence yourself rather than take our word for it.

Massage in Oregon is state-regulated, and every practicing therapist must be licensed: the Oregon State Board of Massage Therapists requires 625 hours of training, a board-approved national exam plus an Oregon law exam, current Basic Life Support certification, and 25 hours of continuing education every two-year renewal — and it requires the studio itself to hold a Board-issued facility permit. Any licensed Oregon therapist or permitted studio can be verified for free on the Board's public lookup.
